All six guest rooms are located on the second floor of the fully renovated boarding house, have beautifully restored windows, private baths, HDTV/DVDs, wireless internet, ceiling fans, individual temperature controls, and a shared refreshments center on the landing. Kate's Garden - Celebrating the beautiful gardens of Coronado and our annual flower show, the floral décor of this bright room will delight you. With a queen bed, wicker furniture and a charming restored bay window seat, you'll enjoy the view of our own garden courtyard. $199 - $229
Winchester Room - The Winchester family owned the Lodge during the 1930s and '40s. A prominent family of that era, their descendants still call Coronado home. Enjoy the many family photos, stately queen sleigh bed, restored bay window seat, as well as the spacious bathroom with a large walk-in shower. Wheelchair accessible. $199 - $229
Author's Study - Coronado has been home to numerous authors, the most famous of which may be L. Frank Baum. With lots of light from the room's three restored windows, you can settle into the vintage recliner for an enjoyable hour of reading your favorite novel. A queen mission style bed, antique wardrobe, and large shower with a rain showerhead, make this corner room welcoming and relaxing. $209 - $259
Isabella's Room - Named for the beloved wife of one of Coronado's founding fathers, this room has a cheerful yellow and blue dècor, with a queen bed and comfortable reading chair. The bathroom, with its claw foot tub (and shower) and restored bay window seat will invite you to relax for a morning bath and ease into the day. $209 - $259
Hebbard and Gill - This stately room honors the historic building's architects in perhaps their last collaboration. In addition to the mission style queen bed and desk, enjoy the very modern luxury of a large spa tub. This corner room offers a view of the garden below and soft sunshine all day. $249 - $309
Bay View - This sunny room at the front of the historic building takes its name from the 1930s when the boarding house was called the Bay View Lodge. This room's 3 beautiful arched windows can be opened to enjoy the ocean breeze or to view the sunset. A bright blue and white nautical décor includes a king bed which can be split into 2 twins. $249 - $309
Luxury Garden Suites
Designed with rejuvenation and privacy in mind, the 11 luxury suites on the garden courtyard have private entrances and porches, king beds, fireplaces, wet bars, refrigerators, safes, and spacious sitting rooms. Nine suites boast large Sanijet spa tubs for the ultimate in romance and relaxation. In the remaining 2 suites you can enjoy large showers with gentle rain showerheads. All suites have individual climate control, ceiling fans, HDTV/DVDs, and wireless internet.
Ocean Boulevard - A stroll along Ocean Boulevard has been a favorite past time since the birth of Coronado as a tourist destination in 1888. This suite at the front of the building has its own private garden in addition to its private porch. With a fireplace facing the king bed and huge spa tub, a spacious sitting room and a walk-in shower, this suite offers the traveler a perfect hideaway. Wheelchair accessible. $359 - $599
The Plunge - Early vacationers to Coronado had the benefit of numerous swimming venues including the indoor Salt Water Plunge and the children's open air swimming pool. On the first floor off the garden courtyard, you can relax on your private porch, in your sitting room or in front of your fireplace. The king bed with its high seagrass headboard reminds you that you're at the beach! $299 - $449
Country Club - The north end of Coronado once featured a country club and sand golf course. These days guests can enjoy the municipal golf course along San Diego Bay, a few blocks from the Lodge. With a golf theme, this first floor suite has a king bed, easy chairs facing the fireplace, a generous spa tub, and sizeable desk should you happen to be traveling on business. Enjoy a view of the courtyard and reflecting pool from your porch. $299 - $449
Star Park - Coronado has long celebrated the Fourth of July with gusto and in the Star Park Suite (named after a park established in 1886) you can enjoy the red, white and blue all year long. The corner suite on the first floor, you can enjoy the 2-sided fireplace from the king bed as well as the huge spa tub in the bathroom. A table with chairs, and a sleeper sofa and side chair provide ample room for lounging. And from your porch, you can enjoy the garden and reflecting pool. $299 - $449
Tent City - This famous tent lodging and amusement park located just south of the Hotel Del was established in 1900 and finally torn down in 1939. Located on the first floor on the courtyard, the Tent City Suite provides views of the garden from the porch, living room with sofabed, and sleeping room. Relax in the king bed in front of the fireplace or soak in the roomy spa tub in the bathroom. $229 - $449
Polo Field - Created in the early 1890s, the Polo Field attracted wealthy patrons as well as early aviators demonstrating their skill and daring for the crowd. Upstairs on the end of the building, the Polo Field Suite basks in light from windows on three sides. Enjoy the fireplace from the comfortable leather couch and recliner or the king bed. The huge walk-in shower boasts a rain showerhead as well as the traditional wall shower. $299 - $449
Ferryboat Landing - Transportation from San Diego to Coronado was primarily via ferry until 1969 when the Coronado Bridge was built. This second floor suite overlooking the garden has a king bed and easy chairs, both facing the fireplace. The bathroom features a huge shower with a rain showerhead plus the traditional wall shower. $259 - $349
Tea Garden - Across the street from the Lodge, there once stood a Japanese Tea Garden, decorated with red lanterns and exotic plants. On the second floor, our Tea Garden Suite boasts a spectacular gold leaf 4 poster king bed with a tea garden tapestry headboard. You can enjoy the fireplace from the bed as well as the barrel chairs. Enjoy a long soak in the huge spa tub with natural light seeping through reed glass windows.
Trolley Car - Visitors and residents could travel up and down the island on one of the colorful double decker trolley cars. Our second floor Trolley Car Suite features a double sided fireplace which you can enjoy from the 4 poster king bed or the spa tub in the bathroom. Sink into oversized plaid easy chairs or take a book into the reading alcove overlooking the garden. $299 - $449
Silver Strand - The slim spit of land connecting Coronado to the mainland called the Silver Strand once provided easy access by rail and is now a wonderful 7 mile long state beach. Our beach and surf themed second floor room invites you to grab a board and hit the waves. Enjoy the double sided fireplace from the king bed or bathroom spa tub. Or set up a board game in the alcove overlooking the garden. $299 - $449
North Island - Established as a military base in 1890, North Island was the birthplace of the U.S. Naval Aviation and the departure location of Lindbergh's historic flight to Paris in 1927. The largest and most private suite is dedicated to Coronado's military past. It boasts an in-room spa tub for 2, a fireplace facing the king bed, a sitting room with comfortable leather chairs, plus a private second floor porch to catch the ocean breeze. $359 - $599
