5 Best San Diego Restaurants Open Thanksgiving 2019
5 Best San Diego Restaurants Open Thanksgiving 2019
There’s nothing quite like a traditional Thanksgiving feast that says the holiday season is here. And while it’s a meal most of us look forward to every year, sometimes it’s nice to step back from behind the stove and let someone else do the cooking.
Whether you’re looking for a traditional spread with all the trimmings, a more turkey-friendly plant based fare, or a takeout feast that you can bring back to your room at 1906 Lodge, San Diego is chock full with restaurants that will tickle your taste buds and make you feel right at home for the holiday. We rounded up a list of five San Diego restaurants open for thanksgiving.
Every year, dining out in San Diego for turkey day gets increasingly popular, so with that in mind, it’s important to make reservations for any of the restaurants on the list below to save yourself a seat at one of these magnificent feasts.
All menus are served on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, unless otherwise indicated and most restaurants typically offer a fixed menu.
Where: 2000 2nd Street, Coronado, CA 92118
Crown Island’s very own ALBACA is hosting their Thanksgiving Feast on November 28. Dishes cover salads, soups, and sides to a mariscos shack with fresh shucked oysters and ceviches.
If you’re a sucker for a good carving station, this one’s for you. You’ll find a maple rubbed prime rib or slow-cooked turkey breast, from the grille a local seasonal fish or made to order Impossible Waffle with micro vegetables.
It’s priced at $75 for adults and $30 for children under 12.
Since ALBACA is only a short 6 minute drive from 1906 Lodge, this is an excellent choice if you’re looking to stay “close to home” and within Coronado Island for your Thanksgiving feast. Reserve your table here.
2. Provisional Kitchen
Where: 425 Fifth Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101
Just across the bay in the Gaslamp Quarter, you’ll find another drool-worth Thanksgiving feast. Provisional Kitchen is offering up their three-course prix fixe menu featuring a sunchoke bisque with speck ham, red wine glazed beef short rib entrée, and apple-pear tart with cinnamon ice cream among other delights.
Priced at $85 for adults (with an optional $30 wine pairing) and $25 for children under twelve, it’s available from 4 to 10 p.m. on November 28.
Take a look at the full menu and make reservations online with OpenTable.
3. Luca Restaurant & Bar
Where: 500 W Broadway, San Diego, CA 92101
Relatively new to the San Diego food scene, Chef Justin Vaiciunas’ creative-contemporary Luca is a delight to the eye & the palate, capturing the flavor & conviviality of Mediterranean culture right here in Little Italy. And this year they’re pulling out all the stops for Thanksgiving.
Dinner is $60 three-course prix fixe menu with course options that range from roasted red peppers with whipped goat cheese and fig jam starter to a gingerbread spiced short rib entrée with creamy polenta and roasted root vegetables. For dessert, there’s a cherry and chocolate bread pudding and eggnog crème brûlée.
Call ahead for reservations and don your best attire for this holiday feast.
4. Herb & Wood
Where: 2210 Kettner Blvd, San Diego, CA 92101
Celeb chef Brian Malarkey and business partner Chris Puffer are hosting Thanksgiving dinner at their newest restaurant venture, Herb and Wood. You can’t miss this neoclassical restaurant with its gaslamp-lighted outdoor lounge and dining area — not to worry, it’s warmed by an outdoor fireplace.
This Little Italy showstopper is offering up a three-course prix fixe menu that includes a kuri pumpkin soup, prime rib served family with all the trimmings, and pecan pie.
Available from 4 to 8 p.m., the course costs $65 with an optional wine pairing is available for $25 and a separate children’s menu for $16. Reservations can be made online.
5. Farmer’s Bottega
Where: 860 W Washington St., San Diego, CA 92103
Every year, the Farmer’s Bottega offers up their version of Turkey Day classics with a three-course farm-to-fork Thanksgiving feast. Not to mention, the in-house specialty dishes are finished off with local Julian apple pie served with vanilla ice cream.
Dinner is hosted from 4 to 9 p.m. and priced at $60 per person, there is a $20 three-course kid’s menu too, and optional wine pairing for $15.
While it’s not exactly within the neighborhood of 1906 Lodge, it’s only a $10 Uber ride away. Not to mention, the Farmer’s Bottega is everything you need if you’re in search of those homey Thanksgiving feels.

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOU AND WE ARE EACH WAIVING ANY RIGHT YOU OR WE MAY NOW HAVE OR HEREAFTER POSSESS TO A TRIAL BY JURY OR TO PARTICIPATE AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS ACTION OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING REGARDING ANY “DISPUTES” (AS DEFINED BELOW), INCLUDING ANY “IP PROTECTION ACTION” (AS DEFINED BELOW) AND “OTHER ACTION” (AS DEFINED BELOW).
You and we agree that any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the breach, termination, enforcement, interpretation or validity hereof or the Use of the Site or regarding Communications, Passwords or Claims (collectively, “Disputes”) will be settled by binding arbitration, except that each party retains the right: (i) to bring an individual action in small claims court, and (ii) to seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation or violation of a party’s copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, patents or other intellectual property rights (“IP Protection Action”).
Unless both you and we otherwise agree in writing, the arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims, and may not otherwise preside over any form of any class, jury or representative proceeding. If this “Arbitrator Restrictions” section is held unenforceable, then the entirety of this “Arbitration” section will be deemed void, and the parties shall be bound by the surviving dispute resolution sections of this Agreement. Except as provided in the preceding sentence, this “Arbitration” section will survive any termination of this Agreement.
The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules and the Supplementary Procedures for Consumer Related Disputes (the “AAA Rules”) then in effect, except as modified by this “Dispute Resolution” section. (The AAA Rules are available at www.adr.org/arb_med or by calling the AAA at 1-800-778-7879.) The Federal Arbitration Act will govern the interpretation and enforcement of this Section.

The arbitrator shall be either a retired judge or an attorney licensed to practice law and will be selected by the parties from the AAA’s roster of arbitrators. If the parties are unable to agree upon an arbitrator within seven (7) days of delivery of the Demand for Arbitration, then the AAA will appoint the arbitrator in accordance with the AAA Rules.
Arbitration Location and Procedure
Unless you and we otherwise agree, the arbitration will be conducted in the county where our property is located. If your claim does not exceed $10,000, then the arbitration will be conducted solely on the basis of the documents that you and we submit to the arbitrator, unless you request a hearing or the arbitrator determines that a hearing is necessary. If your claim exceeds $10,000, your right to a hearing will be determined by the AAA Rules. Subject to the AAA Rules, the arbitrator will have the discretion to direct a reasonable exchange of information by the parties, consistent with the expedited nature of the arbitration.
The arbitrator will render an award within the time frame specified in the AAA Rules. The arbitrator’s decision will include the essential findings and conclusions upon which the arbitrator based the award. Judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. The arbitrator’s award of damages must be consistent with the terms of the “Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability and Waiver” section above as to the types and amounts of damages for which we may be held liable. The arbitrator may award declaratory or injunctive relief only in favor of the claimant and only to the extent necessary to provide relief warranted by the claimant’s individual claim. Except to the extent that applicable law in your country of residence requires application of another law and/or jurisdiction and provides that such application of another law and/or jurisdiction cannot be waived or altered by contract, this Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. In any event, this Agreement will not be governed by the United Nations Convention on contracts for the international sale of goods.
Except as otherwise provided herein, if any provision of this Agreement is found by a court to be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this Agreement and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
No failure or delay on our part in exercising any right or remedy hereunder or enforcing the terms and conditions of this Agreement will operate as a waiver thereof. Except as expressly set forth herein, no waiver of any term, provision or condition of this Agreement, whether by conduct or otherwise, in any one or more instances, shall be deemed to be, or shall constitute, a waiver of any other term, provision or condition hereof, whether or not similar, nor shall any waiver constitute a continuing waiver of any such term, provision or condition hereof. No waiver shall be binding unless executed in writing by an authorized representative of the party making the waiver.
Except as expressly set forth in this Agreement, the exercise by either party of any remedies under the terms of this Agreement will be without prejudice to any other remedies available under the terms hereof or otherwise available.
